Basil is good. The saffron tea with honey is great. The frys taste arbys frys. Ask for them fresh. The rice is good. Lentil soup is good. I like the gyro platter with the pita not cut. I would recommend the coconut cake for dessert. The coconut cake is the best cake I ever had it taste homemade. The coconut cake frosting is Fluffee and semi sweet not overpowering. The cake is very light as well not dense with a hint of coconut flakes. Baklava is nice crispy gewy honey mess large very sweet and very nutty. This place the food is good. But the deserts are excellent.

I had to come back and give this place 5 stars. Everything was just as amazing, if not better than the first time I went. The only thing I am not a fan of is the greek salad. I think it could use some TLC. Other than that, it was another great dining experience!

What a place , I loved it!!! The esthetic was amazing and it was packed on a week day at 12. The menu is simple but great and the highlight was the teas and cream puffs and those a must haves if visited.

EXCEEDED MY EXPECTATIONS. This place is so dang good. I'm surprised! The interior is very well decorated and is very cozy. The workers were very kind and patient as it was our first time there. You order and pay up front. Then are given a number to set on the table. They have a self serve beverage station and a station stocked with plastic to go containers. The quality of the food was delicious. Everything came out hot and tasting fresh. I highly recommend this place!

This place is amazing. Their saffron tea deserves specific mention - it has a slew of health benefits and can be consumed hot or cold/iced but perhaps the most standout thing about it is that it is accompanied by a special type of cardamom/saffron/cinnamon honey that is extremely viscous and much faster/smoother flowing compared to your typical honey. The gyro salad and hummus are also excellent. You also order at the counter and they bring the food out to you. The inside is decorated with very cool and valuable looking Mediterranean artifacts, pottery, crystals, etc., while a looping video of an island in the Mediterranean plays on TVs positioned around the room. Definitely an experience to be experienced if you are ever on 23rd in OKC!

Walking in you'll see the menu on the wall, you order at the counter, and sit yourself. When we arrived it was a bit empty and wondered if we had made the wrong choice for lunch. We couldn't have been more wrong about that thought. The staff was friendly and attentive. The food came out at a reasonable time, and it was delicious! To start we shared the Greek salad and the spicy hummus. Both were very fresh and tasty. Then the gyro platter arrived. The portion is huge! It can easily be shared between 2 people. We also ordered the spicy chicken gyro wrap. We enjoyed them and would order them again. As we were leaving, there was a huge line from the counter all the way to the door. That's when we realized we had just been lucky and beaten the lunch rush. This place gets an extra bonus for having great parking for being on 23th St. A decent size lot to its side.

Love love LOVEEEE Basil. If you're looking for a great Mediterranean restaurant in the metro, this is it! Little quaint restaurant in Uptown that has plenty of parking and cute Mediterranean decor in the inside. We always order the tomato soup. SOOOOO good! This round we ended up getting the western gyros. I don't know what they do but they know how to make their gyros. The flavor with the peppers they add into the western gyro make it to where I can't eat a gyro plain ever again. Food comes super quick. The dining area is clean. The best part is that the owner comes around and actually asks how we enjoyed the food and I think that is just an awesome job on the owners part to give that personal little touch. I will ALWAYS recommend Basil for anyone looking for yummy Mediterranean food!
